7 Days Umphang Jungle Adventure
Prepare to be thrilled with an Umphang nature holiday program. You will trek through mountainous terrain on the back of an elephant, go rafting along rivers and visit indigenous hill tribe people in their villages, staying with them as part of the karen village, learning about their culture and way of life. We will journey to the most remote areas of the country and experience the wonders of nature and ethnic diversity. One of the main highlights of the area is the great Tee-Law-Soo waterfall, one of Thailand's most precious natural assets. The program will be both thrilling and beautiful, and definitely one to be remembered!
Day 1: Bangkok - Mae Sod
At 7.00 pm you will be collected from your hotel and youo travel overnight towards Mae Sot, Tak Province by bus

Day 2: Mae Sod- Umphang
We arrive in Mae Sod in the morning. After breakfast, we will proceed to Um-Phang town by local truck. Here you enjoy a 4-hour drive through the beautiful mountainous area. After lunch and refreshments at the nature resort, we will take a local truck to the beautiful cave. We will walk up the waterfall in order to see the view from the top. Dinner will be served at Umphang.

Day 3: Rafting and Camping in Umphang Wildlife Sanctuary
After breakfast, we depart from the Lodge by bamboo rafts (or rubber rafts depending on the season) on the river Huay May Klong, stopping along the way at the cascade of To-Lo-Jo, at a hot spring geyser, at a passage of the rapids of Takhubi, and observing the cliff of Phaluat which has an astonishing vegetation and bee hives.
For lunch, we will picnic at the river's edge and then continue trekking to our campsite in the Umphang Wildlife Sanctuary. We will have dinner and stay overnight in the forest camp.

Day 4 Tee-Law-Soo waterfall-camping in KoTha Karen village
One of the highlights of the area is the great Tee-Law-Soo waterfall, Thailand's most precious one.The waterfall is the biggest in Thailand and is the 6th largest in the world, with about a hundred cascades across a width of 400 meters, In the morning you will have plenty of time to relax and enjoy the natural surroundings. After having visited the waterfall we will start our jungle adventure to a karen hilltribe village.
The nature trail we follow is absolutely beautiful and for most of the time we will walk alongside a small river. We arrive at the village around 5.00pm in the afternoon.

Day 5: Elephant Riding
After an early breakfast, you can enjoy riding an elephant in the jungle, making stops to take enjoy the surrounding flora and fauna, and then crossing a river to stroll between rice fields. Today we will have a picnic and then trek through the jungle to the village of Pa-la-tha. Later on in the day, we will go to Umphang nature resort and have some free time to relax before dinner and have fun with the umphang jungle party!

Day 6: Umphang To Mae Sod
Today we get up early to see the morning fog that covers Mount Hua-Mod. After breakfast we will return to Mae-Sod and here you will have time to look around, relax, and visit the Rim-Mey market where you can find many local souvenirs and handicrafts. This would also be the perfect opportunity to get a traditional Thai massage! You might need it after the many hikes and adventures of the week! At the end of the day, we will make our return journey to Bangkok by overnight bus.

Day 7: Bangkok
You will arrive in Bangkok in the early morning. The tour ends here but if you need accommodation in Bangkok or help with onward transportation, just let us know.

What to bring:
On all of our tours we recommend to bring the following items during the walks in the park:
- Camera, binoculars
- Long trousers and long-sleeved shirt
- Warm clothes for the evening and nights
- Raincoat (June - October)
- Mosquito repellent
- Hat, cap
- Sun cream
