Travelling from Ayuthaya to Bangkok? Then how about turning the journey into a 3 day cruise taking in the Chao Phraya river and local Thai countryside life along the way? Cruise down the Chao Phraya River of Kings on board the Thanatharee, a comfortably converted teak rice barge, to Thailand's capital city - Bangkok. This 3 day cruise will give you a great insight into rural Thai life and makes a spectacular alternative journey for travelling to Bangkok.
Wednesday: departing Ayuthaya at 13:30, the Thanatharee converted rice barge makes its way down the Chao Phraya River heading towards Baan Chang Noi for dinner and the night aboard the boat.
Thursday: Rise early to offer food to the monks on their morning alms round and after breakfast cycle to explore Baan Chang Noi before cruising to Wat Taku. Set off again by bicycle to explore local villages and their day-to-day life along the river. Rejoin the barge at Wat Kophai and continue to Bang Sadej. By bicycle, visit this famous temple and local orphanage where hill-tribe children receive an education and vocational training. Explore the village and its handicraft industries before continuing to Wat Sawang Arom near Pamok to moor for the evening and enjoy your second dinner on board.
Friday: After breakfast, visit the lively morning market, village school and local drum-making families, before heading further down the Chao Phraya River into Bangkok. A free transfer to your hotel is included and you will most likely arrive there around 18:00.

Transfers:
For departures from/to Bangkok, pick up and drop off at centrally located hotels and the transfers to/from the pier are included in the price. There will be a supplementary charge if transfers in Ayutthaya are required.
Meals:
These cruises are inclusive of full board and all services and activities described in the itineraries, including English-speaking assistance. Not included are soft drinks (except water), alcoholic beverages and other personal expenses.
